AIGNE Tutorial -basic Email Generator DApp example
Here is a visual example on how to use AIGNE. For simplicity, we will use the video example of the Email Generator DApp that is also shown on the front page of the AIGNE website.
Let’s walk through the steps shown in the video:
- Naming the Agent. We press on the top left blue rectangle to see all the Agents we created so far. In this example, I renamed the agent to “Email Generator” as that is what the DApp will do, generate business emails in a variety of languages. Keep in mind that this will also be the title of our DApp.
- The grey section on main screen, under our title “Email Generator” represents a short description of what the DApp does. You can fill it in as you wish for your application.
- The Inputs section on the main screen is filled with variables we’ll use in our DApp. These are prompts the DApp will ask you to provide for it to then eventually generate a response/output.
- A short DApp instruction is fed to AIGNE on what you want it to do. You have to manually type it, and include your inputs in the sentences.
- The Outputs section on the main screen will ask you what system you want to use (do you want your DApp to display text, generate a pic, etc? It will depend on what you want out of your application). And it will also ask about “Appearence”. This is what will show up once you preview your DApp. In this case, we will see both our inputs and outputs, since both are necessary for our program.
- The blue rectangle on the top right hand side of the screen represents where we debug and test the program. As you can see in the debug section, our inputs are ready to go, so we write a question/command, and choose the language we want the output/solution to be displayed in. The testing section is self-explanatory: tests for any bugs in the program.
- Now on the last step, we pressed preview to see how our DApp would look and function. As you can see, we enter our inputs, and it gives us outputs suited to what we asked it to do.
This is a very basic DApp, but I hope it gave you more insight into AIGNE. As you can imagine, you can create a lot more complex DApps if you put your mind to it. Have fun playing around in AIGNE🙂

I will try to post more tutorials as I further familiarize myself with AIGNE
Luckily Robert has now released bite-size educational videos on how to use AIGNE. I suggest anyone interested to check it out. You can find them on X or on Arcblock’s youtube page
