Sending Digital & Physical Products as Gifts Safely through the Payment Kit

Idea: Users can buy goods & services through the Payment Kit, and before checking out, choose to send the product to another user's DID.

This way, online friends and family can give each other physical gifts without ever knowing the other person's physical address.

Before finalizing their purchase, users have the option to select “Send as Gift.” They can then enter the recipient's DID address to deliver the product or service directly to the intended recipient. Additionally, if this option is chosen, a text box will appear for users to include a personalized note!

If the DID exists, the system automatically routes the service, passport, or product to the designated recipient's digital identity. If the DID does not exist, an error appears instead.

For physical products, the process remains seamless. The system utilizes the shipping address associated with the recipient's digital identity. This allows the gift to be sent directly to the recipient's location, maintaining privacy by eliminating the need for the sender to know the recipient's physical address.

For subscriptions, the sender will continue to be billed in the future unless they decide to modify or transfer the subscription.

I think something like this will naturally grow more useful, as more companies and businesses adopt the payment kit software, enabling a similar gifting system that is currently offered by companies like Amazon, but in a ZKP manner.

On top of that, the added ability to pay and send a subscription for a service (i.e Netflix, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, Gift Cards for specific shops, Gym Passes, etc) and continue paying the bill for the recipient, or choose to transfer the bill to the recipient at a later time, allows people to share access to services with friends or family, in a way that companies are not then being cheated through password shares. I think both users and companies would love this kind of system.

The more companies that use the payment kit software + the more users that have the DID Wallet + the ability to privately and securely send digital and physical products/services to one another = The future of local and international business networks 🚀
