Just a poem in summertime
The sea is like love: you go in and you don't know if you'll come out.
How many have not eaten their youth - fatal dives, deadly dives, grasps, wells, unseen rocks, suction cups, sharks, jellyfish.
Woe betide us if we give up swimming just because five and six drowned. Woe betide the sea For it has ways of swallowing us up.
The sea is like love: A thousand enjoy it - one pays for it.

Damned if we will cut down on the swims just because some five, six drown. Damned if we will betray the sea because there are ways that it will engulf us. The sea is like love: a thousand ways to rejoice – and one to pay it.
Well was pretty close! I only have my reservations about the ending as the original refers to 1000 people to enjoy and 1 to pay for it. Other than that yours is perfect 🥰
