NFT marketplace ‘quick’ button missing from the home screen. (See screenshot). This then sometimes reappears. Is this a feature that has been consciously added as a ‘Favourites’ button? Either way it just looks like a bug to me and should always be there on the ‘quick buttons’?

This is not a “quick ” button, but the recently opened blocklets, they will be saved in the cache for easy reopening. Avoid data loss caused by frequent switching of contexts.
