Discuss Kit free: but not actual fee?

Is the Discuss Kit free to use when we add it as a component into out already existing Pages Kit.

  • "free" here means you can get a copy of the software for free, not running it for free
  • When you run the blocklet in an app hosted on ArcBlock Launcher, you will be charged according to the Pricing Policy
  • You will not be charged when you run the blocklet in your own Blocklet Server, since you will cover the cost to run your Blocklet Server.

thank you, but I’m still unclear. if I add on discuss to my already existing pages kit, will I be charged extra?

The answer is yes if your Pages Kit is hosted on ArcBlock Launcher.

To help you understand how your app is billed:

  • Each time you launch an app from Blocklet Store in ArcBlock Launcher
    • you will create a subscription
    • you will become the owner of the app
    • you will get an NFT for the app
    • you will be billed daily, more on this later
  • For each app you launch through ArcBlock Launcher
    • the bill depends on how many components you run in your app, since Pages Kit requires Media Kit to work, so you will be billed for 2 components daily if you only use Pages Kit
    • you can add more components when needed, and the billing will automatically calculate how much to charge based on how many components you've added to your app.
    • you can remove components that are not used anymore, and the billing will change accordingly.
    • you can always manage components in your app from your app dashboard (entry to your app dashboard can be found on launcher).

thank you for the clarity. it is a little confusing because when you add component, the pop up screen says you can use it for free. (As shown in my screenshot above) There is never a point at which time you agree to the specific additional cost once the component is running.
