I’m a hamster. I live low to ground. I love low hanging bugs. I’m eager to be first to read everything that comes out to get first shot.

Most the time I find nothing. Only thing happens is I learn more. 🙂

Sometimes I find spelling bug. and they are tasty! Especially knowing that the next hamster who comes along trying to learn and use Arcblock will have an easier time because of the time I’ve taken to document and report the issue.

Arcblock is an International platform. I recognize that there are still some areas of which Arcblock has not been translated into English. I want to help that movement. As a native English speaker, and Arcblock enthusiast, I feel that it is my duty to point out and make suggestions to the community, areas in which I think there are some translation issues popping up. It is always with the intentions of clarifying important messages on the platform that I do so, never from the spirit of a “grammar tyrant”. Trust me I can shoot the shit with the best of them.

Far as I can see it, these bugs ain’t gonna be around for much longer. With the history tool in the chat and increased assistance from the devs, these bugs are getting smooshed quick. Soon they will all be gone, but in the mean time Hamsters gonna eat.

I recently was on a website to get new glasses. I noticed a spelling error on the page. In hamster spirit I called and left a message for the company. My wife told me I was being silly, and that ”nobody does that”. As soon as those words came out of her mouth, the woman from glasses company called me back and spent 5 minutes on the phone with me tracking down the error. she was vey appreciative and said she was embarrassed that it had not been seen earlier.

It has been seen. probably 100’s of times. Everybody just stumbled over it and cussed in confusion. Did they lose a customer. probably not, maybe?

The Arcblock bug bounty is special. It invites users from all across the spectrum to participate. I feel like I get bounties from across that spectrum, are some easier than others to see through, perhaps, but in the end I would say they balance each other out.

I think it would be wise to stay together as a group, raising each other up for their finds. Splintering over whose “volunteer “work is more important could be divisive.

Catching a misspelled word, just minutes after its release in a public document is worth a bounty to me. Had there been no bounty, or considerably less, there is a higher likelihood that just like in my experience above, the mistake would have been left unchecked and left to be seen by all the people we are currently in the process of trying to onboard and therefore want to present Arcblock as pro as possible.

Ironic how the people who voted no ( one person in reality) were happy to receive free token counts for their grammarily services until their ego was compromised by like 3 people. The obvious answer to this poll is YES with lower reward weight and logic will reflect that.

Yes! Personally I don't have the time to report typos etc but I think it's very important. Small typos and UI issues may seem small, but in reality they can make the quality perception bad. Very important to get rid of these small issues, and rewarding people for it is the way to go!

Yes, agreed, we cannot have anything less, in the future blockchain era. Mistakes, errors, however small, is still an error, seeing as u cannot rush greatness, we should strive for it nonetheless.

absolutely! Typos and small UI issues are very bad, even though they need to be small. Not well rewarding those who report them will mean there will be typos forever. And that's a big no no
