Can the team refer me to a user/licensing and regulation agreement between Arcblock and the developer of a project?

There are currently dapps being created using Aigne. In a scenario where a dapp developer is building something revolutionary using Aigne, is Arcblock considered -indirectly- a co-ip beneficiary due to Arcblock 's rights to the building tool -Aigne-?

If the developer were to file for a patent regarding his/her dapp which he created with aigne, would Arcblock have any claim to said patent?

Is there any relevant legal documentation you can refer me to?

Asking aigne herself about it, she referred me to said licence/user agreements but I couldn't find them anywhere in the system.

Arcblock's white paper doesn't mention anything relevant either, as it was naturally created before aigne was.

Good question. Recently there was some FUD circulating about this on X. The FUD referenced the T&C on the Arcblock website, specifically under "intellectual property". https://www.arcblock.io/en/termsofuse?locale=en

I'm hopeful the team can address this and make a clear statement

This refers to the website and has zero specification nonetheless. What I'm asking is neither FUD nor general, it's a very specific legal aspect regarding the use of Aigne.

I know. Just wanted to add this so that the team is aware. It indeed does refer to the website, but what about blocklets that get published on the blocklet store, which may be connected to their website? That's the argument the fudder on X used.

That's right, that is a TOS for the website only.

Good points. As a startup, we have simply utilized generic Terms of Service documents following a legal review. It is imperative that we now refine and tailor these documents to accurately reflect the progress we have made thus far.

I will leave the legal jargon to the lawyers, but let me clarify:

  • Developers have complete ownership of the intellectual properties they create when building an application on AIGNE and ArcBlock, enabling them to choose the copyrights, software license that best suits their preferences.
  • The demos, samples, tutorials, and source code provided by ArcBlock, as well as any run-time libraries, digital assets, and dependencies, are licensed under the MIT license, granting developers the freedom to utilize them for any purpose.
  • Since ArcBlock is a platform for composable blocklets, certain blocklets may incorporate blocklets from third parties. The intellectual property of each Blocklet belongs to its respective owner, who determines their own license agreements

If there are any concerns or suggestions, please feel free to share them. We are open to adopting all reasonable suggestions.

There is no need for FUD regarding those agreements at all.

Thank you very much for your answer, it does indeed shed light to my exact question and I'm very happy to say that it's exactly what I expected to hear.

I am a lawyer so the legal jargon is my area hehe.

I suppose there is official documentation to be released about the above ToS at some point? Thanks again!
